Upon a recent tour of the USA with Robin Trower as sound engineer / Tour manager i was aware that we were recording / video shooting our show in Detroit at the Royal Oak Music Theatre with a support band being filmed as well. Just another day 'i thought'. O boy how wrong was i when i heard Slight Return USA starting their sound check. Not just another day then i said to my backline tech, i am going out to watch these guys.Slight Return was a great, refreshing surprise. Original, funky and influenced by the greats, they rocked!' "I SAW SLIGHT RETURN FOR THE FIRST TIME ON MARCH 29TH, 2008 WHEN THEY OPENED FOR ROBIN TROWER AT THE ROYAL OAK MUSIC THEATRE. I WAS ABSOLUTELY BLOWN AWAY BY HOW GOOD THIS BAND SOUNDED! THEY ARE AN EXTREMELY TIGHT BAND WITH A FABULOUS LEAD GUITARIST AND PERCUSSION SECTION.
